Rebel Song

When a farmer who is too infirm to farm and too old to make love grows to hate his youthful wife’s beauty and love of life, he hires a man to help out on the farm—but his actual goal is to find someone to break his wife’s spirit. The farmer convinces both the simpleminded farmhand and his wife that they need him to survive. Yet as they become increasingly terrorized, they form a childlike bond, whispering thoughts of escape together out of the forest.
